The Hostel is open to groups and individuals from May to October. It is especially suited to groups as there are many natural walks in the area including the Kerry Way which passes just a mile from the hostel. There is also a state of the art sports hall adjoining the hostel making it suitable for school and youth groups. We are now taking booking for the May-Oct 2012 period. Please go to the Dromid Hostel website for more information. |
In 2006 Forbairt na Dromoda won the Community Enterprise Category for the South West for excellence in Enterprise. We have built three enterprise units, each 100 sq. meters all equipped with Broadband. One of these units is occupied by a company called Ivertec. We wish to attract I.T. based businesses to the area. Thanks to training provided by Forbairt na Dromoda, in conjunction with other agencies, there is a pool of qualified IT workers in the locality. |

There are three people employed in the Information Office. Cáit Uí Chonaill is the manager of the Centre, Micheál Ó Beaglaoí is the Assistant Manager and Máire Uí Shúilleabháin is the secretary.
